Winter is over here in the Midwest. Sure, it's still cold (it went down to 20F this last night), but the white and snowy landscapes are gone for good, I'm afraid.
I had a lot of fun shooting here during snowstorms, hiking through the ice, and looking for minimalistic images driving on secondary roads in the countryside.
This place has inspired me and I believe helped me a lot to improve my photography. This is not the West where you can have a big vista within a 10-minute drive. You have to work to create an image, and be more creative.
In this video, I drove to Michigan City at the shore of Lake Michigan in an attempt to capture the last of winter. I found heavenly conditions for photography and I made some of my favorite images here.
It's been fun, Indiana.
