A bit more than 4 years ago I was saying goodbye to the city where I lived for more than 13 years.
Today, I quit my job. And on November 5th, I’ll be saying goodbye to Portland, and the Pacific Northwest.

Read MoreI'd had one specific image in mind for a while, and I decided to go for it this last week: a long exposure of the full moon moving through the sky.
Read MoreI wasn't sure about posting these ones. The whole point about showing contact sheets is to explain my thought process when taking images. And these ones aren't a good example of that.
Read MorePart II of my trip to the Core Enchantments, in Central Washington. Day 2 too, where I leave my camp at Snow Lakes behind and climb to the Core.
Read MoreFirst real outing for the Holga! I brought it with me to Leavenworth and then on my hike to the Enchantments, and I loved it!
Read MoreThe Enchantments is one of the most beautiful places in the Pacific Northwest, and I was lucky enough to get a permit to spend 2 nights there. This is part 1 of that adventure.

I don't know about you, but when I look at the photos I took in the past (not too long ago actually!) I can't believe I thought they were any good, good enough to even post some of them.
Read MoreMy first hike in Oregon (unless you consider the walk to Multnomah Falls from the parking lot a hike) was to Mirror Lake, in the Mt Hood National Forest. This hike doesn't stop there though, the trail keeps going beyond the lake. The final destination is a mountain called Tom, Dick and Harry.

I'd been thinking about this for a long time. It was not a decision about money (the camera itself is $35), but a matter of having yet another camera at home. I already had enough... but the Holga didn't stop tempting me.

This was the hardest thing I've ever done. By far. This hike is no joke.
Read MoreThis is the first of a new series of posts, pretty similar to something I was doing a while ago when this blog was hosted on Medium. I'll be uploading the "contact sheets" (they are actually scans, but don't tell anyone) of every roll I shoot, I'll talk about how I took the photos, problems I ran into, and what not.

Angel's Rest is one of the most popular hikes near Portland for very good reasons. It's not only just 25 minutes away from where I live, it also has amazing views from the top and it's a decent but not strenuous workout to get up there.

It took moving 5,397 miles away from my hometown for me to discover nature. It's not that there isn't beautiful outdoors over there, I just wasn't interested. I also used to wake up really late in the morning.

As you may remember, three months ago I made the decision of switching to film as my main photography medium. I purchased a [Bronica SQ-Ai][0] on Ebay and I've been using it since then. **90 days** and **44 rolls** of 120 film later, I think I'm ready to write down some thoughts about this process.
Read MoreMy first time hiking Dog Mountain, and I was carrying 25 pounds of camera gear. Probably not the best idea, but I had to train for harder hikes coming up pretty, pretty soon.

I get very excited every time I come back from a hike to a breathtaking place. And there are plenty in Oregon! But this one... I don't think I'm overreacting, or am I?

Last week, out of ideas of where to go or what to shoot, I remembered the moon would be full soon. I had only shot the moon a few times before, so I thought it could be a cool thing to try to capture on film.
Read MoreI'm still getting familiar with [my new Bronica](https://aows.co/blog/my-new-camera-bronica-sq-ai), so I've been looking for all kind of light situations to get to know it as much as I can. I also have a few new lenses to try!

A few weeks ago, we went on a road trip through Washington, from the most northwestern point to the desert on the southeast. I didn't touch the photos I took for weeks, trying to get a fresh new look at them and hopefully come up with a better selection of pictures.
But it's about to time to publish them, and this past weekend I uploaded a few of them to the "archive". Check these new albums:
After weeks of researching, and visiting used gear sites a few times a day, I was finally able to get what is now my new camera: a Bronica SQ-Ai.
